Atlas of Other Skies

Final Project, 2026

When we look at the night sky, we look into the past—not only at the stars whose light only now reaches us, but also at our ancestors, who turned to the heavens for answers. Atlas of Other Skies asks how we change when our perspective changes.

Using data from the European Space Agency, the atlas maps the night sky from two points: Earth and Pollux, a star 33.7 light-years away, showing how the 88 constellations change when viewed from elsewhere in the universe. By presenting alternative viewpoints, the atlas invites readers to imagine new constellations and, with them, new ways to perceive reality.
